SORTIS Invest is an investment advisory company established in February 2007, whose main business is assisting entrepreneurs in obtaining financing for their investment plans – business expansion, market penetration, acquisitions, etc. The financing may take the form of equity, quasi-equity, mezzanine loans or project financing, depending on the particular project. The most suitable form of financing is always sought in order to minimize the cost of funds to the Client. |

SORTIS Invest also provides corporate finance and mergers & acquisitions advisory services to its clients. SORTIS Invest is based in Sofia, Bulgaria and is wholly owned by Martin Paev, CFA, an investment banker with more than 6 years of investment banking, mergers & acquisitions, private equity and asset management experience at the investment bank ING Barings in Frankfurt/Main (Germany), ETEBA (the investment banking arm of National Bank of Greece) in Sofia, Bulgaria, Balkan Advisory Company (an independent investment banking boutique in South-Eastern Europe) and ADDRESS Invest (the investment arm of ADDRESS Group, the largest real estate advisory firm in Bulgaria).
Mr. Paev has structured the first Real Estate Investment Trust in Bulgaria (TBI-BAC REIT), brought it through registration, licensing by the Financial Supervisory Commission and an IPO and then acted as its Executive Director. In 2007 Mr. Paev founded and became Chief Executive Officer of SORTIS Real Estate, a real estate asset management firm.
Educated in Bulgaria, the Netherlands and Germany, Martin Paev has a Master’s degree in Banking and Finance and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Mr. Paev is CFA® Charterholder and until recently was a member of the Board of Directors of the Bulgarian CFA Society, the Bulgarian chapter of the CFA Institute (USA). |
